I will admit focus is hard for me. Between working full time, SORMAG, mommy and wife, I find it hard to write or even want to write.

This year I'm trying writing for 15 minutes at least once a day. Hopefully this will help me focus on my writing.

We share the same problem. Between work, church ministry, elder care for my mom, publishing and trying to fit a date or two in... I almost gave up on writing. My computer went on the fritz at the end of last year and I replaced it with a laptop which has renewed my zeal. I take it most places and whenever there's a lull, I'm happily tapping away!

My FAVORITE writing focus tool is Write or Die (http://writeordie.drwicked.com/).

Set your goal time or word count, select how hard you want the program to be on you, and GO! If you stop writing for too long, Write or Die will start playing some horrible noise (mmm-bop for one...) and flashing red lights to encourage you to WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! It's like having a personal trainer for your writing time.
